Coaches

For staff who manage the team. Coach profiles introduce the people who lead your events. A coach profile is public to your members; it does not grant staff permissions or access to member data.

Coaches is available on every plan. It turns on with Events, or on its own under App → Modules.

The Coaches page

Open People → Coaches. It lists everyone with a coach profile, whatever their staff role, with archived coaches below. New coach requests open from the page header. Your staff and their roles are on People → Staff; see Staff access.

Add a coach

A coach is always a member of your gym. They don't need a Gymplify login to get a profile.

  1. On Coaches, select + Coach.
  2. Select Choose from member list and search for the member, or select Add someone new and enter their name and email. Nothing is sent to them yet.
  3. Choose the Team relationship: Internal or External.
  4. Enter the Public name and an Introduction.
  5. Select Save profile.

A coach without a login can be published and assigned to events, but cannot open the Coach panel. When you create or link their login on their member profile, their coaching starts automatically.

After the first save, edit the profile again to add Profile photos: up to five, where the first photo is the cover members see.

Publish a profile

New profiles are Not published: members cannot see them. When the profile is ready, edit it, tick Publish in the member coach directory and save. The profile then shows Visible publicly.

To retire a profile, tick Archived. Past events keep their coach.

What coaches can do

Assigned coaches open the Coach panel from their account menu. There they see their own events, edit their profile when they are allowed to, and propose events. When Approve coach schedules is on, their proposals wait for your approval.

What members see

Members open Coaches to see published profiles with photos and an introduction, and the coach's upcoming events. Share the member guide.
